Subjects Taught
Advanced Math [Grade 8], Gifted Certified, Math [Grade 8], Team 8-1

I graduated from Valdosta State University in 2003 with a BBA in Marketing and then again in 2008 with a Masters Degree in Middle Grades Education.  I also graduated in the Spring of 2016 from Piedmont College with a Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction.

This is my eleventh year teaching Middle School Math and my fifth year at CHMS.  At my previous school I taught for three years in 8th grade and then another 3 years in 7th grade Math.  I have attended several workshops which include Co-Teaching, Differentiation, GPS and CCGPS training, and other summer workshops.  I have also assisted with the girls softball and track team in the past.  Since I have been at Chapel Hill, I have only taught 8th grade Mathematics.

Just a few things about myself: I am an Army brat, so I know what it feels like to have to move and make new friends.  I transitioned from South Georgia several years ago to the area and it has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made!  I look forward to the beginning of every new year of school and try to find new and better ways of teaching my students.  I have loved every year that I have been a part of the Chapel Hill family and am looking forward to another great school year!
