B.S in Art Education from Kennesaw State University 2015

I received my Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Kennesaw State University in May 2015. This is my third year of teaching and I am so happy to be doing it at Chapel Hill Middle School!

I was born in Hauppauge, NY and lived there until I moved to Kennesaw, GA when I was 12 years old (a middle schooler!). The arts have always been a major part of my life. I started playing viola at age 7 and played it throughout elementary, middle, and high school, partaking in extracurricular orchestral activities such as the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Though I loved music, the visual arts have always had my heart. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, from begging my mother to make projects with me on rainy days in my early childhood, to going to a prestigious art camp in New York one summer during middle school, to deciding to go to college for art.

I was exposed to the art of teaching at a very young age. My mother was a preschool teacher, and watching her teach and prepare materials at home when I was younger helped me to develop a love for teaching and helping others. I started teaching in my early teens, when I helped as an assistant teacher at a Sunday school.

When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with family and friends, playing with my two dogs, or drawing and creating art of my own!
