I have been a Chapel Hill Wildcat teacher for the past 14 years. In 2003, I taught at Turner Middle School before coming home to CHMS. I have taught all areas of Science, except physical. Currently, I am involved in many different aspects of CHMS. I am the team leader for team 7-2 which includes an incredible group of teachers. Our school received a 21st CCLC grant in 2011,  and I am very excited to be named one of the co-directors of the program. Also, I am one of the learning focus trainers for our building. This is my 7th year teaching  gifted students in science. For 6 years, I was the assistant softball coach, and we won county champion for 2011, 2012, and 2013.

I am married to the most wonderful, supportive man in the world, Doug Allen. He coaches JV softball and Varsity baseball at Chapel Hill High School.  We have three children, Devon 31, Destiny 28, and Kyle 27. In 2012, we had both of our daughters get married. It was a very busy year. Devon lives in Wetumpka, Alabama with her husband Will. Devon is married and expecting a little boy in August. Also, she is in the process of adopting a 5 year old little girl.  Destiny lives in Villa Rica with her husband Tyler and has 2 children, Bennett and Tucker. Kyle is married to Heather and just had their child Knox. By the end of August, I will be a grandmother of 5. Destiny attended Augusta State University where she was  a 4 year NCAA athletic/academic scholarship student. Kyle graduated from  Kennesaw State University with a degree in History.
