I am Sandra Young and this is my tenth year as a teacher and ninth year here at Chapel Hill Middle School! I grew up between Carroll and Douglas counties, starting my education at Mt. Carmel Elementary School. My family later moved to Carrollton, where I graduated from Carrollton High School, but I'm still from Douglasville at heart!

My husband Mark and I are the parents of two daughters who attend Douglas County schools and two sons who live in Connecticut. We also have a boxer named "Deuce." In my spare time, I like to go on cruises, take long drives, and play in the park with my children. I also love to collect coffee mugs and I am learning to cook! I LOVE to ride my motorcycle!

I am one of the 7th grade Life Science teachers this year. I am very excited to be teaching here with some students that I have known from a very early age! It is my pleasure to be entrusted with the responsibility of enriching your child's science knowledge as well as helping them become better citizens of our community!
